I loved the small sharable plates style because I got to try so many different things. The cocktails were creative and made with care. The pandan doughnuts are a must! I enjoyed the music, funny bathroom signs, and general ambiance. Our server was very friendly and clearly cared a lot about the place. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants Japanese or Korean inspired crowd pleasers, interesting seasonal cocktails, and good service!
I went for dinner last night with 2 others and we got a few different options. We shared the food and each had two drinks. Great - Kimchi Tots, KFC wings, Caesar salad Good - Caesar Salad, Crab Rangoon Dip Eh - Brussels sprouts (very large and not a lot of flavor) The old fashion was really good as well. All in all, it was a great experience and I will return.
Went to Yokai for the first time for a friend's birthday dinner. The staff were all very attentive and friendly, willing to answer all our questions. However, there were items listed on their online food menu that were not on their in-store menu. One of them being an item I was planning to order. We had a variety of apps, some that were phenomenal (rangoon dip and tuna wontons) and some that were just okay (kimchi tots). Most everyone enjoyed their entrees - the gochujang burger getting the best review. I got the Tiger noodles since Tteokbokki was no longer on the menu, and it was okay. The broth needed a little extra something to it and there was only one thin slice of tofu. The real pinnacle of our experience was the wide range of delicious and unique alcohol. I had a matcha nigiri and omfg it was so good. Everyone loved their drinks from the Citrus drops to the sake flights. Definitely a drink and apps kind of spot.
The fried rice with pork belly was phenomenal. Cucumber salad was good, slushy was ok. Wings were terrible and salty. Ramen was good! Took an order of donuts to go, yes they were amazing.
We always love the experience at Yokai. We recently went for their Wagyu + Japanese Whisky. It was our first supper club dinner. The menu was so unique, and I'm still thinking about the foie gras. We love the everyday menu, but the supper clubs and Chef's Takeover nights really keep things interesting and keep us coming back.
We wanted to try something a bit different and this place did not disappoint. We tried several dishes and everything was spectacular. Super flavorful. And save room for dessert. The outdoor seating was great.. covered, comfortable and could lightly hear the music.
I recently dined at Yokai in Greensboro and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious - I ordered the Shoyu Ramen, Chicken Karaage, and Korean Fried Chicken, and each dish exceeded my expectations. The prices were very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and quantity of food. The atmosphere was modern and cozy, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or night out. The service was friendly, although it was a bit slow at times. However, our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I would highly recommend Yokai to anyone looking for great Asian fusion food in Greensboro. I'll definitely be back
